What happens when you don’t change your ozone plates?
You will no longer get the same clean air that you have come
to love from our air purifiers. This happens because the ozone plates will
start to deteriorate after an extended period of use. The metal wiring on the
plate becomes fatigued from the constant creation of ozone within the air
purifier unit. High voltage currents cause the metal in the plate to weaken
because the electrons are constantly moving at an insanely high velocity to
produce ozone. This all just simply means that the ozone plate wears down over
time and will not produce as much ozone as when you first got it.
When should I change my ozone plates to avoid that?
We recommend switching your plates after 6 to 18 months of
using them depending on how often your machine is used. If your air purifier is
constantly on for over 12 hours a day, then you might need new plates after 6
months. If you don’t use your machine very frequently, then you can wait until
after 18 months before you need new plates. These are just general guidelines
for when your plates might need to be changed. If you aren’t sure if you need
new plates, please feel free to give us a call at (888) 612 – 8527 and our
technicians will assist you.
